The resident care program of John Noble Home is dedicated to providing the highest standard. The
primary goal of all members of the team is to maximize the independence of each resident through a
supportive environment.
The program consists of the following levels of staff:
- Director of Care. This is the senior nursing position accountable for the overall delivery of care to the residents.
- The Assistant Director of Care who is responsible for the overall management of staff and resident care on the
neighborhoods.
- The staff working on each neighborhood includes the following classifications:
Registered Nurse (R.N.),
Registered Practical Nurse (R.P.N.),
Health Care Aide,
Personal Support Worker,
Recreation Programmer and
Ward Clerk. Each has a specific job description and collectively form the care team for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care each resident receives.
- Additional allied professionals such as Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist also provide services specific to their discipline.
- The role of the Nurse Practitioner at the John Noble Home is to provide primary care services to residents, in collaboration with the Medical Director.
- A senior administrator is on-call for the Home 24 hours a day
- Nursing and personal care is delivered on a 24 hour basis. Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses must maintain current licensing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a condition of employment with the Home.
